How long does a course take to complete?
Most Rybran courses take 20 to 120 hours of study. Since every course is self-paced, you can finish in a weekend or spread it over a few weeks. There are no deadlines, due dates, or expiration dates on your access.
Do I need any prior experience or qualifications?
No. Rybran courses are open to everyone. There are no entry requirements, no prerequisites, and no application process. Pick a course, sign up, and start learning. Some advanced courses may suggest a basic familiarity with the topic, but none require it.
What happens after I finish a course?
After you complete the lessons and pass the final assessment, you can purchase a professional certificate of completion to mark your achievement. Choose a digital PDF for instant download or a printed copy shipped to your door. Your course access stays active even after you finish, so you can revisit the material anytime.
Are the courses live or self-paced?
Every course is 100% self-paced. There are no live classes, no scheduled lectures, and no group work. You log in whenever it works for you, learn at your own speed, and pick up right where you left off.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Is Rybran a university or college?
No. Rybran is an independent online education provider. Our certificates of completion are issued by Rybran itself and recognize that you finished a course and passed its assessment. They are not academic degrees and we do not claim any university affiliation. Many learners use them to document professional development, add skills to a resume or LinkedIn profile, or prepare for a state process they complete separately.
Are online certificate courses worth it?
It depends on what you need. An online certificate course is one of the cheapest and fastest ways to learn a practical skill, document professional development, or prepare for a licensing process. It is not a substitute for a degree or a government-issued license. If your goal is a specific commission or license, check what your state actually requires first, then use a course to learn the material and prepare.
What devices can I use to take a course?
Rybran courses run in any modern web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing to install. Your progress syncs to your account, so you can start a lesson on your phone and finish it on a laptop.
How do exams and assessments work?
Courses end with an online exam taken from your account. Exams are auto-graded multiple choice, you see your score immediately, and most courses allow retakes after reviewing the material. The passing score for a typical course is 70 percent.
Certificates
How much does a certificate cost?
Certificates of completion are purchased separately after you pass the final exam. A digital PDF certificate downloads instantly. A printed certificate can be shipped to your address. Current prices are shown at checkout on the certificate page after you finish a course.
How can an employer verify my certificate?
Every Rybran certificate carries the holder's name, the course title, and the completion date. An employer can contact support@rybran.com to confirm a certificate is genuine.
Do certificates expire?
No. A certificate of completion records that you finished a course on a specific date and does not expire. Note that some professions require periodic continuing education regardless of any certificate you hold; that is set by the profession or state, not by us.
Becoming a notary in Florida
How do I become a notary public in Florida?
Florida appoints notaries through the Governor. In outline: be at least 18, be a legal resident of Florida, and be able to read, write, and understand English. First-time applicants must complete 3 hours of notary education. You then obtain a $7,500 surety bond, submit the state application through a bonding agency, and receive a 4-year commission. The Department of State processes applications and the Executive Office of the Governor oversees notary education and discipline.
Do I need to take a course to become a Florida notary?
First-time applicants, yes. Since July 1, 2000, Florida has required every first-time notary applicant to complete 3 hours of interactive or classroom instruction covering the duties of a notary public and electronic notarization. Renewing notaries are not required to repeat the course, although a refresher is recommended after a 4-year term.
How much does it cost to become a notary in Florida?
The state charges a $25 application fee, a $10 commission fee, and a $4 education surcharge, $39 total. On top of that you need a $7,500 surety bond and a notary seal, which are typically sold by bonding agencies as a package. Most people complete the whole process for roughly $100 or less, including education.
How long is a Florida notary commission?
Four years. The commission is valid only while you are a legal resident of Florida, and you can only notarize while physically inside the state. You can apply to renew as the end of your term approaches.
What is the difference between a regular notary and a remote online notary (RON) in Florida?
A traditional Florida notary performs notarizations in person. A remote online notary (RON) is an existing Florida notary who additionally registers with the Department of State to notarize for people who appear by audio-video technology. RON registration has its own requirements, including a separate course covering the duties, obligations, and technology requirements of online notarization, a larger bond, and errors and omissions insurance. You must hold a regular commission first.
Can I take the Florida notary course online?
